    Greaves Cotton declines 2.04% on the NSE, trading at ₹242.70 after Q3 results. Company recorded its consolidated net profit at ₹6.68 crore for the quarter ended December 2024 as against ₹45.60 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

    HPCL Q3 results live: Better marketing margins boost HPCL Q3 net to ₹2,544 crore

    State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) on Thursday reported a multi-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at around ₹2,544 crore during Q3 FY25 aided by better marketing margins.

    The oil marketing company’s consolidated total income was largely flat on an annual basis at around ₹1.2 lakh crore. Sequentially, income was up 10 per cent.

    HPCL’s consolidated total expenses were also largely flat on an annual basis at ₹1.16 lakh crore, up 7 per cent sequentially.

    The company attributed the stellar results to better physical performance and operational efficiencies in both refining and marketing divisions, coupled with improved margins.

    Average Gross Refining Margin (GRM) for April-December 2024 is $4.73 per barrel against $9.84 in the year-ago period. Average GRM in Q3 FY25 was $6.01 per barrel ($8.49).

    Nippon India Q3 net up 4%

    Nippon India Life Asset Management Company has reported a four per cent increase in December quarter net profit at ₹295 crore against ₹284 crore logged in the same period last year.

    Revenue from operations was up 11 per cent at ₹588 crore (₹530 crore). The company’s employee cost increased 20 per cent to ₹106 crore (₹88 crore) while other expenses jumped 28 per cent to ₹77 crore (₹60 crore).

    The overall asset under management of the fund house increased 51 per cent to ₹5.70 lakh crore (₹3.78 lakh crore). The share of equity assets rose to 51 against 49 per cent logged in the same period last year. The passive funds share was up at 26 per cent (25 per cent), while debt and liquid dipped to 15 per cent (18 per cent) and 7 per cent (9 per cent).

    United Spirits reports 4.3% net profit dip in Q3

    Diageo India (United Spirits Ltd), a subsidiary of the British liquor giant Diageo, reported a 4.3 per cent y-o-y fall in profit after tax (PAT) to ₹335 crore during Q3FY25.

    USL’s consolidated net sales value (NSV) during the December-ended quarter stood at ₹3,432 crore, up by 14.4 per cent y-o-y. Its revenue from operations during the quarter was ₹7,732 crore, up from Q3FY24’s ₹6,962 crore.

    Resilient consumer demand

    The company attributed this growth to resilient consumer demand during the peak festive season and a fast scale-up in Andhra Pradesh.

    In Q3, EBITDA stood at ₹568 crore, after a 16.9 per cent y-o-y growth.
