Kirk, 31, was shot and killed while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University, leaving behind a wife and two young children.
Kimmel sent a message from his family to Kirk’s, as well as to all families impacted by gun violence.
“On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence,” he wrote.
